As of April, 2000, the United States Census Bureau had counted 46,261 Koreans in 6-county area; 72.1% living in the suburbs (compared to 64.7% of total population) 33.2% are not U.S. citizens 70.6% of Koreans are in potential labor participation age (compared to 64.4% of the total population). <See Report on Illinois' Korean Amenrican Demographics>
2-B. Korean American Small Business Analyses with 2000 Census PUMS data and U.S. Economic Survey (1997 and 2002) data.
Compared the changes in business performances (total number of establishments, aggregate number of employees, aggregate payrolls) by the type of industries during the five-year period. Identified the most growing business types, conglomerating industries, declining industries, most profitable industries.<See Report>
